Pertinea the Netherlands has appointed Marloes Hofstetter as Head of Portfolio Management from 1 June 2021. In this position, her focus is on the asset management of the four shopping centres in the company's Dutch portfolio. Together with Country Manager Caroline Droste, she will also focus on the ongoing expansion of its real estate portfolio.
Marloes Hofstetter has considerable experience in retail properties, with a particular focus on everyday shopping. She previously worked as Asset and Acquisition Manager at Hoorne Vastgoed, the real estate arm of the Vomar Voordeelmarkt supermarket chain. Before that, she worked at Holland & Barrett Benelux, where she was responsible for their entire property portfolio and the expansion of their retail network. This included De Tuinen in the Netherlands, along with Essenza in Belgium.
Pertinea focuses primarily on retail property in the Benelux region that is strongly geared towards fast-moving consumer goods. To date, it manages around 150 stores across more than 20 locations throughout the Benelux, including four Dutch district shopping centres located in Enschede, Zoetermeer, Dordrecht and Zwijndrecht.
The short-term ambition is to expand this portfolio further. Capital for Pertinea's investment initiatives comes from a stable group of Dutch and Belgian institutional and private investors with experience in both real estate and retail.
